A Princess on the Parkrun

By my (turns-out-missed) calculations, Saturday’s Parkrun in Franschhoek was the one year anniversary. We had been briefed a few week’s ago to dress up for the big birthday celebratory run.

Ever compliant, I pitched up in pink complete with pink fluffy tiara and magic wand. Only to find that I was one week too early. After awhile or 2km’s, like all good princesses, I forgot that I was wearing a tiara and kept on smiling back at all the friendly smiles. Someone even asked if I was a (senior) bride-to-be…
